For the most part, I live a very simple lifestyle and therefore, am not a very materialistic person. Its not that I shun possessions, I just find that I generally don’t need them. With that being said, I am also not a rich man (I imagine I have lost quite a few of you there). I take enjoyment in the simple things in life like nature, thoughts/conversation, sleeping in and of course, a good cup of coffee. Even though I am very much a dreamer, I live a very solitary life grounded in reality. I am not adverse to hard work; in fact, I revel in it. I also enjoy the spontaneity of any given moment. I take great care in my appearance but I am in no way vain. I wouldn’t say that I am a difficult person to get to know, but I can be very shy at first meetings. At times, I am also a man of few spoken words, if only to observe the situation and to better listen, sometimes actions do speak louder than words. In life, I always let my heart lead; my mind is usually never far behind.
My first passion in life was the culinary arts; which combined both my love of science and artistic creativity with my love of travel/exploration. It has enabled me to cover the extent of my own country, working and exploring as I went along, to the boundaries of this continent. As I journeyed along, I expanded my mind in order to learn everything and anything I could to better myself. Though I strongly believe that no matter how much one excels at any given skill, you can never truly know all of it; a person therefore should never stop learning. When faced with a lifetime of mistakes, I will learn what I can, then accept the things I cannot change; to err is human. With this humility, I have learned to enjoy the finer things that life has to offer: a good vintage, choice delicacies, and definitely an appreciation of the right company.
Unfortunately, as it rarely does in life, my passion for cooking began to wane and slowly wither away. I still enjoy cooking, very much so, but it was then at that point in my life that I decided I would try my hand at creative writing. Over the years, it has become a long and demanding process which up until now, I have had limited success with, in part due to much procrastination. I have always loved working with my hands so to sit at a desk feels a bit unnatural to me. I enjoy the flow of movement, like dancing or walking. Luckily, I am a very loyal and devoted person. It also doesn’t hurt to have excellent culinary skills and experience behind me.

Over the years, I have gained a great appreciation of Russian writers such as Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Chekhov, and Pushkin and have admired the portrayal of “the family life” in their collective works. An ideal defined by its unified strength, trust and loyalty, yet one in no way perfect. As the years slowly draw my days to a close, this is what I want most in life. I love children and have always considered my self of a loving and nurturing nature; even stern, when it was needed, but fair. Of course, I would be dishonest if I didn’t mention that I find that it would be easier for me to create a family of my own then to try and take over someone else’s (though not impossible).
Love is also in no way perfect. So I naturally don’t seek perfection but merely what is perfect for me. A woman should be defined by: hard work, humility while sacrificing for, and accepting what is best for all, simplicity of needs, and wisdom. A lady should be defined by: intelligence, elegance/grace, adaptability, betterment, and wit. I seek an intimate companion who will embody characteristics somewhere in between the two; where the lady and the woman meet. Above all else, love for me is very important. With it, at the risk of sounding cliché, any barrier can be conquered. I would never marry for the sake of convenience. I want to share my life, not give it away.
Lastly, it is a difficult task to build trust with someone you have never really met; it will take time to cover ground over long distances. The traits I value above every other quality in a person are patience, understanding and honesty; not just to others but also to oneself. As for physical attributes, I very much enjoy natural beauty. The type of simple beauty you love to wake up beside first thing in the morning, never at their best, but very endearing none the less.
