some may think me Over-Educated, but I'm not looking for them. I'd prefer a partner who can be intellectually challenging and yet rational; whose interests are nearly parallel to my own yet an Individual with her own accomplishments.
I like lively discussions, even animated ones, but no stone-wall opinions without support. While I may at times raise the level of my voice in enthusiasm or for emphasis, I'm not "shouting".
Ideas and topics of interest: Books, Poetry, Philosophy, Music, movies, etc. I truly enjoy cosmology and astronomy, nuclear physics and probability. I love Classical music, and find time for active listening every day. I'm interested in World Musics - including our own C&W - but decry "Pop" of any era (except Mozart ;-).
Something I haven't done yet that I would like to do is travel Europe by rail. Paris to Istanbul! The Trans-Siberian from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok! Given the time, I prefer travelling by train rather than air; there's so much to see, and I'm really more than a RailFan, a "Train Nut". I've spent several summers chasing Ghost Towns and Railroads in Colorado, New Mexico and even in Mexico. I've ridden trains in Mexico, England and France, including the Euro-Star through the "Chunnel". As I said, I'm a Train Nut; was I born fifty years too soon - I'd never have known steam locomotives - or fifty years too late and nearly missed them all? Does that make me a Romantic?
If I could live anywhere at all it would be in a house I built in New Mexico. "Ah lahkes the Wahd Opin Spyciz". Casual and definitely unpretentious. My fashion style is usually the same - khakis and a T-shirt - a slob around the house. I may put on a jacket (and tie ?) if going out to dinner or to a concert.
